Gardesa interior design

Gardesa armoured door becomes part of interior design

During last MADE Expo 2009  in Milan, the most important Italian Exhibition for Architectural, Design and construction, Gardesa presented the new  “Contatto”  door-covering line, designed in cooperation with the “Bizzarri Design” Architect studio.
A few samples of the new collections, available for both door mechanical and electronic opening , have been displayed at Gardesa booth.
Gardesa enriches its range of design offering to smarten up the door , by playing on a combination of new shapes and materials. The Diffusion collection, together with the wood essences, features special carved stone inserts only 5 millimeters thin. The original design, together with the uncommon material combination and the innovative solution make the Diffusion line unique.
The Diffusion  collection has been conceived  to give the customer the choice  of stone inserts recalling the marble flooring; as an alternative it is possible to match the wood colour of the door wing  with the parquet flooring.
The Fusion collection for internal door panels instead, is characterized by a material very similar to leather: a synthetic texture, which, thanks to a special industrial treatment, gives a 3-D effect and a warm and soft  tactile perception.
Panels from the  Fusion and Diffusion collections are part of a wide project  which Gardesa has undertaken in order to  convey a new product image. The new armoured doors go beyond the plain image which traditionally is related to it, to become an integral part of the house.
The core of the product  is still the safe and resistant Gardesa structure, that, thanks to the new solutions, looks now like an interior door.
“Gardesa aims to meet all customers needs, that’s why we strived to widen our range with new technological and design solutions  for doors, accessories and coverings” , says Lorenzo Muratori, Gardesa General Manager..  “Our target is to meet market expectations which will be more and more diversified. We want  to give our best products to customers who need aesthetics and functionality, together with security housebreaking, but also solutions that are tailored  to their own homes”.
